About Behavioral Services Center Chicago

Located on Clark Street just south of the Chicago River, Behavioral Services Center (BSC) provides comprehensive outpatient services to those seeking assistance with substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. Patients can also receive care and access services for conditions and issues such as anger management, domestic violence, DUI education and parenting skills. One thing that I really appreciate about this facility is that they also offer telecounseling consultations and therapy sessions for the convenience and safety of the patient.

Outpatient Treatment Through Therapy and Medication

BSC’s outpatient treatment program follows an integrative care approach that seeks to combine treatment modalities to best serve you. Given that treatment is on an outpatient basis, you can receive care at this facility while maintaining your daily responsibilities and enjoying the comfort of life at home.

BSC offers a medication assisted treatment (MAT) program. This facility utilizes Suboxone to assist patients with managing their withdrawal symptoms and cravings. While in this program, your team will make any necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth and healthy transition into recovery.

In Person and Virtual Mental Health Care

As a part of an integrative care model, mental health services can play a key role in your recovery journey. Your team may determine that psychiatric care, medication management and therapy sessions may be necessary to treat a co-occurring disorder. In order to facilitate this care, this facility offers both in person and telemedicine services to maintain a continuity of care while addressing your needs.

I love that this facility is located near the heart of the beautiful city of Chicago. While in recovery, you will have so many opportunities to explore attractions such as the Chicago Riverwalk and the Lake Michigan Shoreline for some reflection and relaxation. Furthermore, the Art Institute of Chicago is a renowned art museum that hosts extensive collections for those with a passion for the arts.
