About BHG Centennial Treatment Center
Located in Centennial, Colorado, is the Centennial Behavioral Health Group. This is an outpatient recovery facility that works with adults of all ages who are experiencing an addiction use struggle. You’ll find several types of evidence based therapies including medication assisted treatment and addiction counseling.
For many people who have a substance or opioid use disorder, detoxification of that substance needs to happen first. Detox is difficult for many recovering individuals because of the often painful withdrawals that your body has to endure. After detox, cravings can continue which makes it that much harder for you to stay sober. That is where the support of medication assisted treatment comes in. This type of treatment uses medications like methadone and Suboxone to help you manage your withdrawal and cravings.
After you have detoxed, you’ll also need ongoing support through counseling services. This support will help you build the skills you need to stay sober. Some of these skills include being able to identify your triggers, and managing stressful feelings when they arise.
Through counseling, you’ll have a clearer sense of your recovery journey and you can create realistic goals that you can work towards. Doing so gives you a sense of purpose and empowerment that will encourage you to maintain a sober lifestyle.
