About Bay Cove Substance Abuse Center
Bay Cove Treatment Center for Opiate Addictions is a part time drug rehab in Boston, Massachusetts. They’re open seven days a week and accept people at all stages of recovery.
Your treatment will include three elements. You’ll get daily dosing with methadone to prevent cravings and withdrawals. Your counselor will meet with you once each week. They’ll give you strategies for coping with stress and teach you how to prevent relapse. Your case manager will help with anything else that might stop you from recovering such as transport issues, housing or health needs.
One thing that I appreciate is that they accept self-referrals. To start treatment, you can walk in on Thursdays, between 8 am and 2 pm. Referral agents can send people there as well.
Some people say they’ve been treated here for many years and have never had a problem. Others talk about being shown a better way to live. They say they were treated with respect and were helped to remember who they were before they became addicted.

Levels of Care
The first step to a drug-free future is detox. This involves slowly and safely ridding your body of all addictive substances, under 24/7 supervision. This is typically the initial phase of drug rehab in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts outpatient rehab does not have a defined timeline. The program is tailored to meet your recovery needs, and may last 90 days or a year or more. During this time, you will attend therapy sessions and support group meetings, for ongoing accountability and development of sober-living skills.
If you meet the diagnostic criteria for two or more conditions, you have a dual diagnosis. Massachusetts dual diagnosis treatment is designed to address both conditions simultaneously, for improved recovery outcomes.
