About Banyan Castle Rock

Banyan Castle Rock is located in the peaceful town of Castle Rock, Colorado about 20 minutes south of Denver. They specialize in treating adults dealing with substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions using proven therapies and accelerated resolution therapy.

They work with more than 100 insurance carriers nationwide and they accept credit card payments, direct payment arrangements and self pay options. I think it’s great that they welcome veterans and are designated as Veteran Ready by Psych/Armor.

Easy Access to Treatment

To make access to treatment more convenient, they offer transportation assistance for individuals located within three hours of their facility. Video telehealth is available for their intensive outpatient program.

Personalized Inpatient Treatment

Residential care here can include medical detox using medication-assisted treatment (MAT). They prescribe buprenorphine, naloxone, methadone, naltrexone and acamprosate when appropriate, and treatment plans are all personalized. Inpatient treatment typically lasts 28 to 90 days, but can go longer.

Holistic approaches like mindfulness, art and music therapy and stress reduction practices complement evidence-based treatment. Clients have access to chef-prepared meals, an outdoor putting green and recreational outings to stay active and engaged during treatment.

Biofeedback to Calm Body and Mind

I was impressed with their serenity bed, which combines vibrations, sound and visual cues to promote relaxation, ease withdrawal symptoms and support recovery. It works like a form of biofeedback, teaching you to control bodily functions that usually happen automatically, like breathing, heart rate and muscle tension. Repeated sessions can help you learn to calm yourself during stressful or anxious moments.

Aftercare programs, alumni support networks and relapse prevention education provide ongoing support as you transition back to daily routines. Some of their monthly alumni programs sound like fun, and include barbecues, bowling and paintball, as well as workshops and community service projects.

A New Sense of Self Through Treatment

Clients say they felt supported and cared for by the staff, and that the therapeutic support made their treatment feel manageable and hopeful. While some clients noted concerns about medication timing and therapy availability, the overall impression is one of life-changing care, practical support and a sense of community. One client said, “I have a new sense of self and I will be forever grateful.”

Art Therapy

Art and music are mediums that connect with our feelings, making them a great recovery tool during addiction t...reatment. Studies show that combining art/music and drug rehab can have a greater therapeutic impact than drug rehab alone, as you’re able to access parts of your brain and body that you may not have access to during traditional talk therapy. Benefits of art/music therapy include lowering stress and anxiety, promoting healthy neurochemicals, and providing stress relief.
