About Avita Community Partners – Behavioral Health
Avita Community Partners’ Adult Behavioral Health Services is a community-focused program that serves adults and teens who are facing struggles with their mental health or have a substance use disorder. At the Gainesville, Georgia clinic, you’ll find evidence based outpatient care. It’s by Allen Creek and Butler Park isn’t too far away.
Avita was born out of the efforts of state legislation passed in 1993. Avita was created to help serve people who were experiencing the debilitating effects of their mental health struggles, developmental disabilities, or substance use addictions.
Over the years, they’ve grown to become a critical pillar of the community by providing supportive care to those who need it most. These services are judgment free, recognize that addiction recovery requires compassionate support, and the latest evidence based approaches.
You’ll find a host of therapies here including individual, group, and family counseling. These treatments are backed by a person focused approach to care as well. You’ll have access to everything from job skills training to educational support to primary health care services. If your condition grows acute, they can refer you to their emergency center for detox and stabilization.
There are two models that Avita applies to your care. The Recovery Model believes that you have what it takes to grow and evolve from the struggles you are facing because of the challenges you’ve encountered.
They’ll also help you succeed in recovery through The Episodes of Treatment Model. This model recognizes that as you progress through the program, your needs will change and you might be best served by referrals to different agencies when that time comes.
