About Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Center Cerritos

Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Center Cerritos is a community organization designed to address the needs of the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community in Cerritos, California. They act as a bridge by directly offering mental health support and also connecting community members to state and cultural social services resources. There are two centers, but only the Cerritos location provides direct mental health services without routing participants to an external organization.

Community Partnership Services

I noticed that they link community members with prevention and aftercare substance abuse support through a partner agency network offered in local languages. While almost all of the partner agencies offer aftercare, only a few provide active substance abuse support such as the Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC) which offers counseling in an outpatient setting. I think it’s important to note that these partnership services are offered in conjunction with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and are provided at no cost to participants.

Mental Health Support

I found that they primarily provide mental health counseling. This is ideal if you’ve already achieved sobriety or are actively seeking support for mental health concerns identified as part of your sobriety journey.

Payment Options

This service provider accepts Medi-CAL and Medi-CAL/Medicare. Some services may be available even if you don’t have insurance, depending on your eligibility.

An adult program in California uses various therapeutic methods to treat a person who is dependent on an addictive substance. Individuals aged 18 and older are eligible for treatment, which focuses on breaking the cycle of addiction and learning how to maintain sober living.
