Free Addiction Treatment for Women in Need

This is a non-profit organization that operates strictly on donations. Services are free for women, and the company's day to day business is managed exclusively by volunteers. The women who volunteer are largely those who have had issues with substances in the past. Over 2000 women have lived here since they opened in 1998.

They have a limited number of beds to offer to women who are homeless and experiencing AUD. You may have to call for a few days or even weeks to get a bed. You will have an intake meeting where you will discuss your substance use and your physical health.

All residents are provided with a bed and three meals a day. Everyone who lives there participates in chores. You will have group and individual therapy sessions each day. You will also participate in 12 step meetings and other peer support groups.

I like all the different fundraising events that they have here. They host an annual black and white ball. They have fundraising comedy shows as well. They have even hosted a bake off in the past.
