On the corner of Pleasant and Spruce Streets in Morgantown, West Virginia, you’ll find one of West Virginia Sober Living (WVSL) Solution’s recovery residences. This sober living home provides adult women with a safe and comfortable place to stay after the completion of a main rehab program.

Living in a residence like this can be incredibly powerful for your healing journey, as the rules and structure help you to continue growing while the flexibility gives you the space to become increasingly independent.

Integrating You Into the Community

One of the first things that stood out to me about WVSL’s sober living program and rules is that they require continued participation in support groups and incorporate many outings and community service activities into the program. This can be a significant benefit, especially if you’ve been in a residential rehabilitation program because it makes building the bridge back to ordinary life far easier and less isolating.

As a nonprofit, WVSL partly supports the house by taking in donations, allowing them to offer the program at an affordable monthly cost. I’m glald this incredible opportunity is also open to men, as WVSL has two men’s homes very close to this one in Morgantown.
