About ASAC Area Substance Abuse Council King House

King House, located along the western bank of the Mississippi River in Clinton, Iowa provides residential addiction treatment services for men ages 18 and older. They’re part of the Area Substance Abuse Council (ASAC), a nonprofit that has served Iowa residents since 1962.

One thing that impresses me about this program is that it’s not only an addiction treatment program. It also serves as a sober living home. Unlike some sober living homes, you won’t need to first complete treatment somewhere else.

While ASAC doesn’t offer inpatient treatment directly, they work with other agencies, like UCS Healthcare, that provide medication assisted programs (MAT) for opioid use or alcohol disorders.
