About Seaquell House
Arete Recovery was an addiction treatment center in Pembroke Pines, Florida. It’s now closed but used to offer medical detox services and residential treatment to adults. They could also address co-occurring disorders, which is when mental health and addiction diagnoses exist at the same time.
A Comfortable Environment for Medical Detox
Arete provided 24/7 medical supervision in a comfortable environment. They provided support while alleviating as much discomfort as possible. They gave not only medication treatment (MAT) but also therapy and treatment planning during the detox process.
Residential Treatment That Supported Long Term Recovery
After medical detox you would move to residential treatment. I like that they not only provided group and individual therapy, they also had recreational activities. They had a low client to staff ratios as a way to provide targeted, personalized care.
They also had meals created by talented chefs. They believed that while an evidence based approach is essential, you should also have fun and enjoy the experience of treatment and recovery. This made sense to me because allowing treatment to be lighthearted at times can help you embrace the process and stick with it until you finish the program.
Even though Arete Recovery closed, there are other programs available close by that can help you.
