Arbour Counseling Services Franklin provides outpatient substance use disorder treatment in Franklin, Massachusetts. They offer a continuum of care which includes an assessment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

The medication assisted treatment program provides the medication options of Suboxone and Vivitrol. They follow specific guidelines when it comes to stabilization and maintenance. In order to be considered stabilized, you will have no withdrawals or cravings and have minimal side effects. For maintenance, there must be evidence of opioid and/or alcohol use cessation for two to eight weeks.

I like that at any point during the maintenance process you can request to be tapered off of the medication. They will start you on a tapering off schedule. If at any point you begin to start to have withdrawals or cravings and fear relapsing, the tapering can subside. Legal involvement, stable housing, stable income and adequate support are some of the factors that will be taken into consideration before tapering off of medication.

Their intensive outpatient program can range from four to six weeks in length. You will undergo a biopsychological evaluation and a behavioral assessment. The evaluation and assessment will help determine the appropriate level of treatment and help develop your treatment plan. Your treatment plan will be based on your needs and goals.
