About Anuvia Prevention & Recovery Center

Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center offers treatment and prevention programs for adults and adolescents with substance abuse issues. With customized treatment plans, you’ll be able to access intensive (IOP) and general outpatient (OP) therapy groups, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Anuvia has an early intervention program and an outpatient program for teens aged 13 to 17. Alcohol and Drug Education Traffic School is available at this location if you need treatment that is required by the courts.

The intensive outpatient program meets three times per week for 12 weeks. This program incorporates individual and group therapy sessions with 12 Step meetings like AA or NA. Morning and evening sessions are available to accommodate whatever your schedule may be. You’ll also receive substance abuse education, medication management, and case management. One thing I like about this program is they offer a weekly family session to incorporate your loved ones into treatment.

Anuvia’s youth prevention program is called FOCUS and is designed for teens who are at an increased risk of substance abuse. FOCUS is held twice a week for four weeks and includes interactive groups and discussions. Kids will learn decision making skills and how to manage anger and other interpersonal conflicts. The outpatient teen treatment program runs for eight to 12 weeks and includes 90 minute group sessions twice per week. Family therapy and psychoeducation are incorporated into the adolescent treatment program.

People who’ve used the services at Anuvia say they loved the staff and the curriculum. Another person said Anuvia is a great place to receive accessible and compassionate prevention and treatment for substance abuse.
