About Andrews Center

Andrews Center Behavioral Healthcare System provides mental health and substance misuse services for individuals living in Tyler, Texas. I was impressed with the wide range of services they offer, including dual diagnosis services.

For mental health care, they provide emergency crisis intervention, counseling and medical management. They also offer service coordination and specialized programs such as First Episode Psychosis and Youth Empowerment Services.

Regarding substance abuse treatment, they provide individual counseling, group counseling and family therapy. I appreciate that they offer integrated healthcare, allowing you to coordinate primary healthcare with other services to improve your overall experience.

Specialized Services for Underserved Populations

Each year, they serve more than 10,000 underserved East Texans. Something I found particularly interesting is their forensic services, which include jail diversion programs for offenders with medical and mental impairments. Additionally, they offer unique services such as autism services and veteran services. They also have an intellectual and developmental disabilities program that provides immediate care facilities and vocational opportunities.
