About Lemuel Shattuck Hospital

The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital is a fully accredited teaching facility that provides a range of services and programs in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Their Living and Recovering Community features intensive residential substance use program that runs from 30 to 90 days. It’s designed for men and women who’re living with HIV/AIDS and are in recovery. You’ll get access to transitional housing, primary health care and addiction treatment.

The Community Substance Abuse Center is part of this facility and provides methadone treatment to treat opioid addiction. You'll also get access to primary care to help stop the spread of HIV among injection drug users.

The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital also runs a shelter for homeless men called the Pine Street Inn Shattuck Shelter. People can get year-round overnight emergency shelter for up to 120 men and women. You'll get food and shelter as well as care from nursing staff and counselors. addiction, legal, financial and other supports are also offered.
