About Ascension Alexian Brothers

Based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Ascension Medical Group’s Alexian Brothers Medical Center provides a range of support services, including behavioral health and addiction treatment. Care is available to teenagers and adults, including those with co-occurring mental health issues. Financial assistance is available at this facility for those eligible. It used to be part of AMITA Health.

I think it’s great that this facility offers addiction treatment to teens, since early prevention is so crucial. Their specialized support for teens includes substance abuse counseling, behavioral therapy, and life skills development, including things like nutrition education. Individualized academic coaching is also provided to support teens who may have missed out on key elements of their coursework or term-time material.

For adults, more intensive support is available, such as 24/7 emergency care, as well as one-to-one, and family counseling for behavioral health. Partial-day treatment programs and residential care are also available to those who need them.

In terms of what former clients are saying about their care here, reviews are mixed and of course, include the experiences of clients treated for a whole range of conditions. Many have wonderful things to say about the staff, though none mention anything about their addiction treatment services specifically. With this in mind, I would strongly advise anyone to do their research before committing to addiction treatment here.
