About Alternatives in Treatment – Closed

Located on an eight acre property, Alternatives in Treatment of Boca Raton, Florida provided dual diagnosis treatment for those suffering from mental health and substance use issues. Unfortunately this facility is now closed. In addition to private insurance, they operated a sliding fee scale for those who qualified. Their program was 12 step focused, offering a complete continuum of care from inpatient to outpatient services.

A Variety of Amenities and Holistic Services

Medical detox was provided to safely manage any withdrawal symptoms. Private rooms were available for inpatient treatment, and they also offered regular outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs.

Life skills training focused on the development of coping skills. I like that they had holistic services such as yoga and meditation. Amenities like a swimming pool, basketball courts, and fitness areas were also included.

Satisfied Clients

Special programs were available for specific patient groups. LGBTQ+ clients were welcome, as were young adults. They also offered dedicated services for DUI/DWI offenders. I found that previous clients had positive things to say about the program, with one person saying, “My life has taken a turn for the best.” Another thanked the staff for always having faith and hope in them, even when they themselves didn’t.
