About Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of Deep East Texas Nacogdoches
The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) of Deep East Texas provides substance use treatment and education to adults and youth in three locations, including Nacogdoches, Texas. They have outreach and screening, outpatient treatment and recovery support services. The clinic also offers court ordered DWI and Drug Offenders programs.

Screening and Outpatient Treatment in Nacogdoches
ADAC has an Outreach, Screening, Assessment and Referral (OSAR) program to help people affected by substance use disorder. OSAR makes education, screenings, and referrals available to people in 15 Texas counties, including Nacogdoches County.
The clinic delivers outpatient treatment for adults and youth ages 13 to 17 in separate age appropriate programs. I like how services include individual and group therapy for adults and teens. The youth program also includes family education and home visits, which I think can help them stay on track at school and at home.
Outpatient treatment lasts three to six months depending on your unique needs and progress.
Recovery Support Services for Youth and Adults
There are two separate recovery support programs, one for teens and one for adults. These services help clients stay on track once treatment ends and encourages long term recovery.
Youth Recovery Communities is geared for teens and young adults ages 13 to 21. Participants meet with recovery coaches and have access to a drop in center where they can relax, have fun, and make new friends. I love how they host events that bring the community together.
Recovery Support Services (RSS) is a program for adults that connects them to recovery coaches. The coaches help them set goals and continue their journey toward a satisfying substance free lifestyle. RSS includes education services and job support to help participants create stable and independent lives.
