About Akeela Assessment Center
Situated in Anchorage, Alaska, Akeela is a nonprofit mental health and addiction treatment provider providing a full continuum of care in Alaska’s largest city. Offering eight programs in Anchorage alone, Akeela provides transitional housing, long term residential treatment, outpatient programs, family friendly treatment, relapse prevention, case management, family care court diversion programs, and outpatient mental health services specializing in family trauma and substance use disorders.
As the oldest and most diverse behavioral health program in Alaska, Akeela has the expertise to treat a wide range of mental health disorders, with a focus on recovery support. Akeela’s programs serve men, women, and youth and are provided in Ketchikan.
Akeela is supported through grants, state funding, and donations and accepts self-pay, Medicaid, and insurance. They will not turn away uninsured individuals.
