Located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Advancing Forward Health provides medication assisted treatment programs for those living with an opioid addiction. After a thorough assessment, you’ll receive a personalized treatment plan that combines prescription medications with counseling.

Prescription medications, like methadone and suboxone, ease uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms and cravings, to interrupt the cycle of opiate use. If you’re struggling with co occuring medical or mental health issues, you’ll also receive treatment for those too.

What stands out to me about Advancing Forward Health is its specialist intensive outpatient program for women, held multiple times a year. The outdoor program takes place on over 45 acres of beautiful farmland, where you’ll hike, meditate, and take part in holistic activities such as art therapy and yoga. Throughout the program, you’ll engage in activities that build confidence and learn self regulatory and problem-solving skills that will aid your recovery.
