About Adult and Teen Challenge MidSouth

Adult and Teen Challenge MidSouth is a Christ-centered, faith-based residential recovery program in Chattanooga, Tennessee for adult men and women seeking freedom from drug and alcohol addiction.

The program offers a 12-month residential model that integrates spiritual discipleship, life-skills training and vocational preparation for residents.

Their goal is to help individuals become physically healthy, spiritually strong and emotionally whole through a holistic, faith-rooted approach to lasting recovery.

Faith-Based Residential Recovery

The core offering is the Journey from Addiction to Freedom, which I noted is a year-long residential program structured in three four-month phases.

These phase include Crossroads, Pursuit and Destination.

This long-term model moves residents from foundational recovery through leadership development and into workforce re-entry, with separate housing for men and women on an 8-acre campus near downtown Chattanooga.

Daily life blends Bible study, chapel, devotions and group studies with personal accountability, character development, and healthy boundary work.

Residents also focus on rebuilding family relationships and financial stewardship supported by testimony-rich success stories highlighted under the program's "Real Lives, Real Change" theme.

Vocational Training and Re-Entry Support

Beyond spiritual formation, I am impressed that the campus includes an industrial and vocational building for woodworking and vehicle maintenance, plus dedicated space for education and employment preparation.

This re-entry focus helps residents set goals beyond a GED and build practical readiness for sustainable, sober living after graduation.

The program also includes a dining hall, recreation areas and the Helle Pavilion for community events.
