About Adult Rehabilitation Services

Adult Rehabilitation Services can be found in Houston, Texas. They offer behavioral health outpatient services for mental health and substance use disorder issues, with a focus on providing treatment for opioid addiction.

Assessments Provided at Intake for Immediate Acute Care

Once you arrive at ARS, they will assess your physical and mental wellness for your current conditions and determine the best level of treatment for you. If you require acute care, they will admit you to their intake program and provide you with immediate treatment as they evaluate your addiction and mental health wellness. They utilize medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to treat your withdrawal symptoms for alcohol or opioids.

Treatment Plans Offer Therapy and Psychoeducation

Following your intake, you will be provided with a treatment plan to help you meet your sobriety goals going forward. I find it helpful that they offer multiple therapy programs to assist you with relationship issues with family, friends and co-workers, individual therapy to provide one-on-one counseling and group therapy for peer-supported care.

They also offer psychoeducation, which provides information on the dangers and physical and mental effects of addiction.

Connections Provided to Community Resources and Long-Term Care

In addition to providing you with a central care coordinator, or case manager, ARS will work with you on connecting to helpful community resources, care support groups and additional health care providers. Referrals may support you in your continued efforts to sustain sobriety.

I found that payments are accepted through a range of payment options, including self-payment. Some insurance plans are accepted, although not specified as to specific plans. They also encourage clients to contact them for verification and details as they relate to your coverage and what they accept.

For your treatment services, ARS accepts state-funded insurance programs, self-paying options and also provides grants for indigenous adults seeking care and pregnant women.
