About Addiction Treatment Services PIER

Addiction Treatment Services has been delivering affordable and compassionate substance use recovery across locations in Transverse City, Michigan for at least 40 years. They promote general wellness among residents of this city through a continuum of care that ranges from detoxification to recovery housing. ATS blends clinically effective practices with tailored approaches to address individual recovery needs and promote lasting sobriety. The P.I.E.R. is their detox center or withdrawal management facility.

Safe and Supportive Medically Supervised Withdrawal

Detox is a necessary first step toward overcoming substance dependence for most people. It clears your body of harmful substances in a safe and controlled setting under the supervision of trained physicians. The P.I.E.R provides a supportive, structured and therapeutic environment where you can free your body of addictive substances while navigating the symptoms with ease. Medical detox at this facility involves 24/7 monitoring with medication administration if necessary to help manage symptoms better.

You’ll also attend counseling and therapy to bond with peers who are going through the same thing. This supportive care is a comfortable withdrawal experience. You’ll also enjoy quality meals, plenty of rest and exercise during the course of your withdrawal to help restore your physical health and support your recovery process. Most people take between 24 hours and over five days to stabilize. The care team will help you move to the next phase of recovery upon stabilization via personalized discharge planning.

This may involve transition to their inpatient care, outpatient program or other level of treatment within their continuum of care. They may also offer referrals to other facilities within their continuum community. The goal is to keep you on a path to lasting recovery. The clinic accepts Priority Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Medicaid which includes the Healthy Michigan Plan. This keeps costs low and treatment accessible to broader audiences.
