About Inpatient Addiction Treatment
Hot Springs, South Dakota, might be a small town, but it's got a big heart, and the community really comes together to support one another. That sense of connection and care is what I think you’ll find at Addiction Recovery Centers of the Black Hills in Hot Springs. They offer intensive outpatient addiction treatment for adults dealing with substance use disorders (SUD), gambling addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Clients come from communities throughout Oglala Lakota, Shannon, Fall River, Custer and Pennington Counties. Treatment is available in person or by telehealth, with options that make it easier to keep up with daily life while getting help.
Evening SUD Treatment to Fit Your Life
Finding time for treatment can be tough, but flexible evening sessions make it possible to get the help you need without disrupting your routine. You can join in-person groups Monday through Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at their sister location in Rapid City. I like that you can also attend telehealth sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the Hot Springs center.
Comprehensive Support for Addiction and Mental Health
Addiction and mental health challenges like anxiety, depression or trauma often go together. This program offers a mix of therapies to help.
You’ll have access to one-on-one counseling using evidence based methods like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and accelerated resolution therapy (ART). I like how ART can help you process traumatic memories without reliving the full experience.
Structured Care Beyond the Basics
If you’ve been incarcerated or are dealing with a DUI, two specialized programs may be helpful. Moral reconation therapy (MRT) helps individuals make better life choices and stay away from illegal activities, while CBISA focuses on changing risky behavior patterns related to substance use. Both programs offer flexible scheduling.
Addiction Recovery Centers of the Black Hills is a place where people are met with compassion and flexibility. They accept clients regardless of income and even offer a sliding scale fee.
If treatment feels out of reach, this might be a place where it finally doesn’t.
