About Addiction Recovery Care Karens Place
Addiction Recovery Care Karen’s Place is a CARF accredited residential rehab in Louisa, Kentucky. They provide a safe, stable living environment for pregnant and postpartum women who are battling addiction. With their long-term program, you and your child will benefit from a space for healing, growth and recovery. They accept Kentucky Medicaid plans including Anthem, Humana, Aetna, Well Care and Passport by Molina.
Their residential treatment center houses 52 mothers and expecting mothers at once. They create a warm, welcoming space to focus on healing while bonding with other women on similar journeys. You can live in their facility your entire pregnancy and up to three months after delivery. During your stay, you’ll participate in group and individual counseling, 12 Step meetings, chaplaincy care and neonatal skills training.
What stands out most to me is their Crisis to Career approach. Their program blends treatment and vocational training to help you re-enter the workforce. During your final stages of treatment, you can participate in their internship program. This program offers vocational training and prepares you for a career within ARC or another employer. Once you finish the internship, you’ll receive a certificate that can go toward completing a Health and Human Services associate’s or bachelor’s program.
Another incredible feature is their additional services. Along with vocational assistance, their state certified case managers work with you to secure housing and rebuild family relationships. These elements are often crucial to sustaining recovery and improving your life.
I also think it’s great that you can live with your child at the facility after giving birth. They provide a supportive environment to foster an early bond with your baby. You’ll have plenty of time to continue working on yourself. You can practice and apply what you’ve learned in treatment to give a warm welcome to your child.
