About Abraxas Youth Center
Abraxas Youth Center is a secure residential treatment program in South Mountain, Pennsylvania serving male youth ages 12 to 18.
Abraxas focuses on helping adolescents develop emotional regulation, personal responsibility, and pro-social skills which I believe supports a healthier future. Psychological and psychiatric as well as substance use evaluations are available when needed.
Residential Trauma Informed Substance Use Treatment
Abraxas Youth Center specializes in secure residential care for justice involved and dependent youth who need a structured, supportive setting. The program delivers clinical care tailored to each adolescent's specific behavioral treatment needs.
Treatment is trauma informed and holistic emphasizing emotional regulation and life skills development, family engagement, and educational advancement. Substance use treatment and education are available for youth who need it.
On-site education with certified teachers and academic support is woven into daily programming, helping youth progress academically while building accountability. I reviewed where one graduate shared that their time at Abraxas "saved my life."
Specialized Behavioral Treatment Tracks
Beyond general residential care Abraxas offers focused tracks that set it apart from standard youth programs. These include Firesetter Treatment, and the HEALSS track for problematic sexual behaviors.
The ReSET program is for those with repeated delinquency, criminogenic thinking, and opposition to authority. Each track pairs targeted behavioral treatment with the structure and accountability the program is known for.
