I like that Southwood provides medically monitored withdrawal management with 24 hour physician and nursing supervision, 3 separate residential programs including men's and women's short term tracks and outpatient services.
Outpatient care includes Level I outpatient, Level II intensive outpatient (IOP), DUI evaluations and classes, early intervention and aftercare. Treatment draws on CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety and 12 Step involvement.

The center serves adults age 18 years and over, with age and gender appropriate programming for men and women.
Care can be tailored for criminal justice clients, parents involved in child welfare systems and individuals with co-occurring mental health concerns, along with special programming for veterans, seniors and those with past trauma.

It’s good to know that many services are commonly covered by private insurance, Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations and other public funding sources. Note that the Withdrawal Management Program does not currently accept payment from MCOs.
Walk ins are welcome, with admissions Monday through Friday and Saturday intakes by appointment. No cost assessments are available and same day admission is often possible after assessment.
