About Abraxas I
Located in Marienville, Pennsylvania, Abraxas I is a drug and alcohol rehab for youth aged 12 to 18. Offering residential addiction treatment, counseling, family support services, education, intensive open residential program, residential mental health services, and aftercare support.
Abraxas Youth and Family Services has been providing residential and community based mental health and addiction services for over 50 years. With locations in five states nationwide, Abraxas serves over 5,000 youths, adults, and families every year. The Abraxas I program is situated on a 90 acre campus in the Allegheny National Forest in northwest Pennsylvania. Operating with a trauma informed focus, Abraxas I offers evidence and competency based structured curriculum that includes individual and group counseling, vocational support, community awareness and victim impact, family counseling, life skills education, recreational activities, and volunteer work in the local community. Abraxas I supports youth to understand the impact of substance use disorders on themselves and their family, develop self esteem, increase confidence and competency, and empower them to live a purposeful life. Each program is separated into separate gendered participants with a focus on either intensive drug and alcohol treatment, intensive open residential programs, or residential mental health services.
Accredited by the Joint Commission, reflecting a high level of addiction care, and licensed by the state of Pennsylvania. Abraxas I accepts Medicaid and private pay. State funding is also available.
