About Ivy Creek Detox

Ivy Creek Detox, formerly called a Nu Direction, is an inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation program located in Elmore Community Hospital on Hospital Drive in Wetumpka, Alabama. Elmore Community Hospital is now part of Ivy Creek Healthcare.

They offer behavioral health services to treat substance use disorder and addiction at their inpatient facility. Their services offer comfortable and safe, medically supervised treatment in a rural community hospital setting.

When you first arrive at Ivy Creek, they will assess you for your acute care needs. They offer medically supervised detox and stabilization treatment for alcohol, opioids and other substances.

Inpatient Detox Services with Transportation Provided

Treatment is offered to those who are 19 years or older, who are in need of treatment to address their addiction. The typical length of stay for their detox program is between 5 and 6 days. I think it’s great to know that they also provide transportation to and from treatment for those who need it.

Respite Care for Primary Caregivers

In addition, they offer respite care for primary caregivers. This provides partners or family members a place to relax, spend time with their spouse, run errands or experience a vacation away from home. I love that this program offers a private room with 24 hour nursing staff as well as medication management services. Respite care can be arranged for one night or several days.

Daily Food Services and Private Rooms

The respite program also offers three prepared meals a day, assistance with hygiene and changing clothes as well as an alarm if needed. This is a great opportunity for those who wish to support and be close to their loved ones, while they are undergoing treatment at Ivy Creek.
