About A Nu Direction

A Nu Direction welcomes people from all walks of life. The LGBTQ community, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and those who have been incarcerated are able to receive treatment alongside everyone else. While in treatment, clients may partake in individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. Psycho-educational classes on topics related to addiction and recovery are provided. Skills building, resilience, communication skills, emotional regulation, anger management, relapse prevention planning, and recovery tools are common topics. If needed, referrals to outside agencies may be provided to ensure all psychosocial and basic needs are met. Individuals needing help with medical issues are requested to express this prior to treatment so their needs can be properly addressed.
