About Symetria Recovery Highland Park

Symetria Recovery has a network of medication assisted treatment (MAT) clinics around Illinois, including this location in Chicago. They provide approved prescriptions to help you manage cravings as well as counseling to help you overcome addiction.

Symetria accepts multiple insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and United Healthcare, along with others.

An Intensive Outpatient Program with MAT

The program at Symetria includes an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that includes medication along with individual and group therapy. The medications they use include Suboxone, methadone and Vivitrol.

Counseling is provided during the IOP. They address mental health and addiction and can treat co-occurring disorders. One thing I saw that stood out is that they have unlimited one on one therapy, rather than a limited number of sessions.

Dosing is done between 7 am and 3 pm during the week and 7am to 9am on Saturdays. The IOP sessions are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. There’s also general outpatient treatment on Thursday mornings.

The clinic is easy to access — the Irving Park station on the L Brown line is less than a quarter mile away, and the clinic is within 1.5 miles of Wrigley Field.
