About Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is an alcohol and drug rehab center in Oroville, California that provides addiction treatment to pregnant women and women with small children. They provide residential treatment where children may attend with their mothers. Priority is given to those with HIV, who are using and sharing needles, or who are in an at-risk situation for spreading STDs to partners or their children. Each client is treated with respect and is provided a proper treatment plan that addresses their personal areas of challenge. Clients are encouraged to engage in the treatment process and help execute their treatment plan based on their commitment to growth.

Stepping Stones provides traditional mental health therapy through individual therapy and group therapy. Clients also engage in educational programming designed to help them learn new skills and receive education about their addiction. Parenting classes, family-focused recovery, education needs, and workforce readiness are addressed. Women learn how to make healthy decisions for themselves and their children. Clients practice managing emotions, anger, stress, and triggers. Clients also work toward ongoing long-term recovery through involvement in community self-help groups.
